There are several things that I don't know what it is, so i'm not sure whether to delete them or not.

Click to expand... A good rule to follow is if you don't know what a file is used for, don't delete it. What are you trying to accomplish?

The part in "private / var / vm" will be deleted upon restart, except the sleepimage. sleepimage – the Mac OS X sleepimage file explained How to permanently disable safe sleep & sleep image file creation? found via "mac sleepimage" and "mac private var vm swapfile" I don't know about CICS in your Downloads folder, but since YOU downloaded it, and you don't need it, you can delete it, if that is the case. iTunes: About iOS backups found via "mobile sync backup mac" GGJstudios said: A good rule to follow is if you don't know what a file is used for, don't delete it.
