I need help how to unzip a file

I have searched the threads and have spent nearly 2 hours on this now with zero success.

I have downloaded Stuff It and had zero success. I have also downloaded Zipeg and it seems to work but I can't figure out how to use it. All I want to do is simply download a windows template for my mac word '08 regarding a resume. My personal template for this is empty. Any help would be awesome!! Thanks in advance.

If you can't unzip it with the built in utility, then you were probably rick-rolled.

It's not that, I have never in my life unzipped a file and I don't know what I am doing with the application.

depending on where you downloaded stuffit expander, the official download from stuffits home page will self extract regardless of if you have archiving software on your machine
