Hey guys,

My girlfriend has a g4 and wants to put a bigger hard drive in the unit, I am not a mac guy yet so I have no clue as what software to get and the best way to do this. She pretty much wanna be able to clone her current hard drive so when we install the new one everything will be just like it was on the smaller hd. Is this possible? What do we need? And where can I find a cool tutorial on removing and installing a hd on a G4

AWESOME thanks, and it will make it to where she doesnt have to install all her programs and crap like that?

p.s. windows proggys dont u have to reinstall your prgorams.

Both programs should make an EXACT copy of the drive. AFAIK, you should be able to replace the old drive with the new one and it would be like nothing ever happened.

If I'm wrong, would someone please correct me so I'm not dolling out bad advice?

I've never used CCC myself, but SuperDuper! can most certainly do that.

NICE!

Now all I need is a tutorial on how to install a new hd on the laptop lol

Anyone know where I can find a 160 gig or anything bigger then an 80 gig to install in the powerbook all I see are freaking 80s :(
