So, a local store has a Displayport->USB-C cable in stock. It is the J5 Create cable...white....4 ft.

The kicker: they are 50 miles away, roughly 1 hour 10 minute commute that involves driving through Boston.

Alternative: Order one online while 4K display sits in office as a paper weight.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

This should be able to run 4K @ 60hz on my Late-16 13" ntbMBP correct?

Can someone confirm this before I do possibly make the decision to go.

I decided to hold off.

The 4G UltraFine is the way to go...you can literally have one USB-C cable to your MBP and not only power the display but also power your laptop and have a usb c hub........literallt with just one cable connected to your laptop.

This means no dongles.........everything would be connected to your LG UltraFine display (external HD etc)..

ONE CABLE. UNO.

Curious...if someone runs a 2016 MBP on a 4K monitor (HDMI 2.0 compliant) through HDMI at 2800 resolution will it push 60hz? and will the text be sharp?
