I came home from work tonight and she told me that my 1 year old son was pounding on the keyboard earlier. well, when I am looking at the screen, the right hand side is cut off and the dock is gone. When I move my mouse to the right, the entire desktop scrolls to the end of the finder bar. When I move my mouse down, the desktop scrolls and the dock appears.

how do I correct this?

or is there a system restore on a mac like windoze has?

Thanks for the help. This is freaking me out.

or if you have a scroll mouse or touch pad => ctrl + scroll out!

that did it! thank you so much!!!!

well, I learned a new feature :)

I just learned it the other day as well... :) but it's kindda strange cause it should do the same as Mad Jew's suggestion...

though if you - as me - have dissabled the zooming feature in your keyboard short cuts then mad jew's suggestion won't work...
