So I wanted to edit a photo and I opened it using the Mac Preview. I was able to rotate the photo with it but I accidentally closed the preview without saving the changes made.

After that, the photo went MISSING. I tried to look for it everywhere but it was nowhere to be found, even in the preview or in the folder where it was supposed to be. # #

Please, please, I need that photo back.
Is there any way I could retrieve it? # #

Try using File > Open Recent from inside Preview. The file should be at the top if you haven't opened anything else.

There's nothing inside the preview. #

Have you looked in the Trash?
My trash is empty and after I accidentally closed the preview with the photo unsaved, it just vanished and I can't find it ANYWHERE. :(((
