I need help with the iPulse app.

I just downloaded the app and i cant figure out how to make the widget stay on my home screen when i open a window of any kind. i like having my windows full screen and the widget overlaps the window so it gets in the way and i always have to move it around. So if anyone knows how to make it only stay on the desktop and not overlap that would be really helpful.
