iPod touch I need help with the touch and itunes :[

Ok, urr can I sync music from last fm on to it? Because the prompt doesn't come up when I plug it in, but it does when my brother plugs in his nano. And I bought a movie just now, but something weird came up and I pressed cancel, I check again and the movie's not there anymore. Did I just waste ten dollars?

It's weird. My bro hooks it up and a prompt comes up. "Would you like to sync with itunes?" But when I hook it up it doesn't

unfortunately I think it has to do with the iPod touch not having the hard drive function....
