Hello, i am trying to install Windows 7 on my MacBook Pro mid 2009 (MacBookPro5,5) and I've used boot camp assistant to copy the windows installer files on my USB. It succeeded and I restarted the computer while holding the option key and the computer is not detecting the bootable USB. I then used a Windows PC to make the USB bootable instead and it does the same thing, but when i select GPT, it shows up on the MacBook boot menu but when i click on it, it freezes the pc and i have to restart the pc. This has worked before and it has only stopped working after i installed macOS Catalina on it using dosdude1's patcher. I have removed Catalina and it still does the same thing. I also tried using other USB drives that I had but that didn't fix it either. I am on OS X El Capitan.
