I don't want anything aluminum.
I am honestly completely overwhelmed with the amount of cases there are.
I want something with good protection for going to school and using it in day to day life. I want another for going out, that is stylish.
I am buying the iPhone 4S, black.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Protection: Incipio NGP translucent Mercury.

Stylish: Incase Snap-On smoke. Or Sena ultra slim pouch.

(Screen protector for front. Clear. )

Everyday I use the otterbox commuter. When I go to something nice I go caseless, but I have the Power Support front and back film on it.

I'm really impressed with freshfiber cases for style. I haven't seen anything like them.

They have 3d design all out of a woven material but it's still sturdy.

Second the Incipio NGP! I use this as my everyday case and for my rugged case I am using the Griffin Survivor.

Leather pouch or just screen protectors for style, defer to everyone else of day-to-day since I'm always NAKEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDD! :D

freshfiber cases - style with bounce

the design allows maximum airflow, as well as literal bounce if dropped and simple but extremely effective protection on the front. i love mine - but i'm a design-a-holic. there are some good video reviews on the web, look for them.

Otter Box Defender for Protection. I have it on mine now. I can't imagine what I would have to do to crack the phone with this thing on.

Right now, I'm thinking...

Protection: Otterbox Reflex (defender is too bulky for me), Incipio NGP, Speck Candyshell and the Magpul case.

Style: Not sure yet :p.

I was looking at lifeproof g2 earlier if that would interest you at all. There's a thread on it that you may check out.

I like my balck Otterbox Commuter for everyday stuff, and go with a bumper for showing off.

The Commuter is thin, smooth, but offers plenty of protection from drops.

I like aluminum bumpers, but there are plenty of non-aluminum bumpers that'll class your iphone right up :)

Don't forget a screen protector. I'm glad I've got one. SGP Ultra oleophobic. went on perfect and it's super clear. and a zagg back piece. little thicker since the camera seems to stick out a bit and the texture gives a bit of a grip to the phone

Protection: Reflex, Seidio Active
++ Protection: Griffin Survivor, Seidio Convert, Defender

Stylish: Ozaki iCoat Success series (real cool and stylish)

So I've narrowed my options:

Protection:
-Reflex
-Commuter
-NGP
-Candyshell

Style:
-Trim
-SGP Neo Hybrid
-Incipio Step White
-Casecrown Glider

Help!
(Man, I never would've expected to have a dilemma like this!)

protection: Speck CandyShell

stylish: Vapor Pro / Atomic Hybrid /e13ctron hybrid - nothing else comes close to those other than a naked iPhone

add one for stylish.

Proud Concept upside down leather case. I got one for myself and one for my wife :)

First how much protection are you looking for, what's the degree of protection you're wanting?

For a stylish one if you prefer a leather case you should check out mapicases. I highly recommend it. I use the one I have for business meetings or a night out.
