Hello,

Is the iPhone data plan mandatory for entire contract if you have gotten rid of the phone within the first 30 days at AT&T? I plan to use another phone all together.

Thanks for your insight and I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere.

D

nope.

if you cancel within 30 days on AT&T, you forfeit the phone and choose another, with or without a data plan for that phone.

What if I keep the iPhone or give to a relative. Will they still make me pay for the data plan even though the iPhone is gone and I am using another phone.

you need to give the phone back.

if you wait until after 30 days, you can pay the ETF and keep the phone. you'll need to buy another phone at the unsubsidized price and any data plan that phone may use.

this is all readily available info... did you search?
