I've just bought a 2TB western digital My Book World Edition for the office. I've set it up using time machine and it works beautifully.

I need a duplicate copy of the drive that i can take off site each night, just incase what ever happens.

My first option is:
This is the option i'd like to work
In the system software for the drive there is a setting called 'copy manager'. This copy manager backs up the drive to an external usb drive through it's own usb port and the My book drive manages the whole process so the computers don;t have to get involved, which is great as other wise it would tie-up some of the computers recources backing up from one drive to another drive.

What I can't find though is how to get copy manager to recognise the time machine back up section of the my book drive.

My second option is:
I buy a second 2TB western digital My Book World Edition drive and simply swap the drives and tell each mac to back up to the new drive.

The only issue i can see is time machine might not allow me to "hot swap" between two back up destinations.

My third option is:
And my least favoured
I add a external USB drive and attach it to my mac.
Then i tell that to make a copy of the MY Book time machine back up.

This seems as if it would be the slowest option for making a duplicate of my time machine backups.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!!
