i know that imac only plays quicktimes only but there are some website dont take quicktime and they say window media player only or real player or other players

i need this video files

Check out Flip4Mac WMV...it'll handle most Windows Media Player files in Quicktime. Check out Perian which will handle a lot of different file types. And get Realplayer here. Also check out the VLC player.

real files require Realplayer.

Installing Perian and Flip4Mac will let the Quicktime player play many different types of files.

A lot of people like VLC as an alternative to Quicktime because it will play many different formats as well. I have VLC on my computer, but have never used it. I keep it there just in case I run across something that won't open in Quicktime or Realplayer.

You're probably trying to upload the iMovie file, which is not a QuickTime movie. You have to export it as a stand-alone QuickTime movie first.

Do not select full quality. CD-ROM quality is more than enough for YouTube.
