I recently ordered the rode ntg4+ shotgun mic and a zoom h1n recorder
Along with xlr to 3.5mm cable and my only worry is that does it work? Cause I still didn’t receive the products yet and i dont want to cancel it.

I heard somewhere that shotgun mics wont work on zoom h1n and the other thing is there are no videos on YouTube of this setup

Ah, I see. It seems that the H1n doesn't work to phantom power the Rode mic

The rode ntg 4+ Has a built in battery and doesn’t require phantom power thats why i went with the zoom h1n as it suit’s my budget and the link you provided where there was an audio from zoom h1n with rode ntg2,well if it works with the older mic then why not with new one! I’m happy now and thanks for the reply I appreciate it😊
