I'm attempting to film a demo for an iPad application and was wondering if there are anything out there that will allow me to film my iPad 2 screen? Thank you!

I shot this video by connecting my iPad 2 to a monitor through the HDMI adapter and an HDMI-to-DVI cable. I then recorded the screen with a USB webcam. I connected the audio jack of the iPad 2 to the audio input of the computer. If I had to do it again, I would use a digital camera and a tripod.

I've got a quite neat method now. I use a book end (that you use to support books on a bookshelf, a thin bit of metal basically with a 90º angle) to support the iPad vertically (you could do it flat, that doesn't work for me). Then I use an iPhone 4s for recording, mounted in a car windscreen holder, which is attached to a glass plate (taken from a picture frame). It's easy to get everything in just the right position, can be moved easily, and is pretty good and clear.

iPad dock connector to HDMI, HDMI into PVR, record input...

I would assume that would work.

That's what I'd do. Can't see why it wouldn't, unless it's HDCP'd?

Any reason you can't just run AV cables out of the iPad, through a VCR, and record the output?
Screen mirroring is only available over HDMI/VGA (without JB, anyway).

Right, but I thought you could just output anyways. I haven't tried it myself, but my old tv only has AV and coaxial, so had that in mind. Haven't felt the need to buy any adapters as of yet regardless.
