I need to know how to use mobile terminal to find and delete update that did not comp

I recently accessed cydia and while doing so I noticed that there was an update available for one of the apps/programs. I believe it had to do with mobilesubstrate but I am not sure. Either way while the update was taking place the phone crashed knocking me out of cydia and shutting down my phone. After getting the phone back on I was and am still unable to access cydia. Everytime I go in it either kicks me out immediately or begins to load as if it is going to work and then kicks me out. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
