It had the new NVIDIA geforce 320M but still had the 7hr battery like the old model! It's just like the one from the leak. It's really weird.

How do you know that?

Have you disassembled the MB or taken a look at System Profiler > Power?

Have you looked at Apple on notebook batteries or Apple Portable: Calibrating your computer's battery for best performance or used MRoogle to find some of those dozens of hundreds of threads about battery life?

Yes I did. On the box it shows the clock.. with only up to the 7 filled in. And when you go to the battery meter and click on "calculate time remaining.." it only says 7 hrs when fully charged.

Then return it, as you haven't paid for the shorter battery life.
Contact Apple and give them the serial and delivery number or whatever number might prove to them, that you got a different MB than you asked for.

Yeah I will contact them again tomorrow. Do you think that I could sell it for a lot on EBAY? Since it is a wrong model and all? Just curious.

Why should you? It's just the wrong packaging with a smaller battery, but maybe there are some collectors out there. You could ask in the Apple Collectors sub-forum if you want though.

Yeah, it's the right battery.

Battery life is dependent on use. Apple advertise 10 hours of battery life with the screen at 50% and doing word processing + basic web surfing.

The battery meter is dynamic, it will show shorter or longer depending on what's being used at the time.

Also, you need to calibrate your battery to get the best life out of it.
