I Phone 4 bluetooth to Sienna

I recently purchased a Toyota Sienna 2012. The dealership successfully paired
the phone/Ipod to the vehicle. Using the owners manual we were unable to
transfer the contact list which would enable voice control/handsfree operation.
When we follow the owners manual to the final step the readout on
the radio says "searching." I am using a USB cable. I am backing up to the cloud. There are two types of audio systems: navigation and non navigation.
I have non navigation. The dealer suggested I try the Toyota website
"Toyota Talking". No luck there.

Any ideas?
