hello, this is nothing to do with the area in witch this query is stated, but i have recently bought an iphone 4 off ebay at a good value. when i recieved the iphone the previous owners dat was still on the phone and it was locked withe a pin number from the previous owner. i rest the iphone 4 using itunes from my old iphone 3gs by holding the home button (buton in the middle near the bottom) as well as the the power button whilst it was off just after i plugged it into my laptop. i reset the iphone to factory settings and orderd a vodafne micro sim (this was the network the previous owner had as stated when i bought it). i orderd a new sim an it tells me to register the sim using the folowing number, 17928. i tried this number which was on the information leaflet wen i got the sim, however the iphone would not ring out to this number it said call failed. the iphone showed the vodafone logo near the signal bar but would not get any signal. is the phone blocked? could it be a stolen phone or a phone thats been found and sold on?
one more question. when i go to settings and then select carrier it comes up wit vodafone, orange, 02, T mobile 3 mobile etc does this mean the iphone is unlocked to any network?
