I Phone 4s

The Rabbit

macrumors newbie
Hi guys, I'm quite new to the forum and hoping you will be able to help.

I have an I phone 4s and a mac book pro 2011.
What I'm trying to do is use my I phone as a video recorder and also record the audio.
I know I could do this using my Mbp but I use this to run serato. (dj software)

So what I'm trying to achieve is recording a video of me playing with the audio. If the I phone had a line in it would be easy.
I'm pretty sure it does not?
Can anybody think of a way to do this or have any tips? Software etc.

Failing this I'll just have to by a video recorder with a line in slot I think.

Anyway thanks in advance

You should be able to plug a standard audio cable from the headphone jack on the MacBook Pro to the headphone jack on the iPhone. Just start the recording, play your song, and you should be good to go!

Uhhhhh as I said "jus sayin" meaning I'm just telling him what it's actually called... He will get told around here sooner or later anyway... o.0

I think you need to get a grip, if you have an answer to my question please answer. If not keep quiet. My first post on here and that was the best you could come up with. I think your sad and I think you should be abit ashamed.

Thanks i'll give it a go, it would be from my mixer. Based on what your saying the iPhone does have a line in?

I had an iPhone 4S, and I used the headphone jack on it to do line-in from a microphone I have. The jack acts as input/output.

Makes 2 does it not. Very sad. Two ways this can go now. I'll either just let it go or you'll get what I'm really thinking. I've received my help now and really will have no need to return. I want be civil but if dealing with kids I will treat you like kids. Your move.

Again thanks to all the people who actually answered my question this is in no way a dig at you.
