I phone syncing?

hi, don't know where to start so just hope this is the right one.
I have an Iphone golf shot app. which I use in Australia, but never
thought I will use it overseas but that is what happened now.
How can I download it or sync my iphone to it when I don't have
international roaming and the only way I can communicate with you
is thru this internet connection.:

find an open wifi network and download it again from the app store.
