iPod I picked the wrong day to be a dunce

In moving my music from my external drive to my Powerbook I appear to have deleted it all.

Any ways to get it back without downloading some crappy software? I'm thinking there must be a way to do this in Terminal. However I do it, I want to get it back, I don't want to risk having my only copies of my music on my iPod.

If you've emptied your trash, the only really viable option is to pull it off your iPod, which isn't that hard. Senuti and iPodRip are the usual tools for this.
