HomePod I plug in Homepod, then...

...what's supposed to happen? Nothing is connecting to it. It's just sitting there with a glowing blob on top. The instructions just say put your phone near it, which is it. Bluetooth and wifi are on, but Homepod won't connect.

Any ideas...?

try putting it right on top of the HomePod.

if not just reset the phone or try another device if you have one.

Thanks, got it working eventually. Had to reboot both several times and then I finally got the popup to setup. Since then it was easy. Thanks.
