iPod touch i pod stuck on page.

Well ok today i got my i-pod touch first genereraition, and wanted to get apps on it. so in order to get apps on a first gen you have to dl the latest sofware. So i downloaded the software but as it was coming to the end it said could not complete, but it still had a screen that was telling me to plug my i-pod into itunes. So i plugged it in to itunes did not work unplugged it plugged it bakc in did not work, tried the hold off and center button did not work. does anyone know how i can fix this?

You can start by editing your thread title to something other than "Help please." From the "New Thread" dialogue that appears when you try to start a new thread:

Otherwise, choose a Descriptive Title:

Do not use a generic title such as "Help please" or "What to do" or "Need advice" -- be specific!

ok there i changed it... i still need help fixing this.
