After hitting refresh on the Apple website on and off for the day, and failing, I decided to drive to Best Buy down the road. I pre-ordered the last black 16GB iPhone 4. They put $50 on a gift card I will apply towards the phone and held one for me. Total the store down the road is getting 50 units, and they said they are going to call me the day before and set up a time for me to come in.
So hopefully, I'll have it in the morning, in and out. No waiting around for Apple protocol and failure at their retail store (did it with the 3G launch, sucked) and those annoying lines. Also, no more waiting for the delivery man like I did with the 3GS last year when I ordered it online (although that went much smoother than the 3G launch, admitedly).
