So I really stupidly tried to re-install OS X on my new macbook pro using one of the CDs that came with the coputer (after uploading several gigs of music and photos). I realized halfway through that I already had OS X on the computer and quit the installation, selecting "restart" and the "from disk" or something. Now I can see my icon things at the bottom but when I click on them, it says "The application iPhoto (or whatever) quit unexpectedly." I just want my macbook to go back to normal! (preferably without losing the valuable photos and music). What should I do? The installation CD is still in the disc drive. Thanks!

I don't have time machine. BUt how do I get back to the "archive and install" button on the install cd? I don't know how to access it from my desktop. Any ideas?
