The iPhone 3G has been bought in Italy (here all the iPhones are sold unlocked) and will ship as soon as the payment has been received.

You will not find an unlocked iPhone in the States, because AT&T will sell it locked and the hackers will not be able to unlock it this time (the iPhone 3G has an advanced security chip which will prevent hackers to unlock the phone).

And the sad part is he's at $1500+ with 8 bids. Talk about a cash in.

Ok, really. By the time you pay $1.5k+ for an unlocked iPhone 3G wouldn't it just be cheaper to get the subsidized phone and a AT&T contract?

AT&T won't be selling unlocked iPhones. They just have "no contract."
