I Really need Help on this! (Spotlight)

today i noticed that spotlight was acting funny and i love spotlight, and now all it does is take up space, it was working fine an hour ago but, now it wont find anything, and its not just not finding things, it doesnt search as i type either i have to space once and then that brings up the no results pane, someone please help me i really want my spotlight back

have no idea if this will help, im a mac noob. but it for sure wont hurt, if i was you i d repair permissions,, can t hurt trying it, at least until you get someone more experienced with a more detailed solution

Also try rebuild the spotlight index too.
