I’m concerned about certain 32-bit games that I’ve played 2000 hours plus in, not playing after I upgrade.

I read today on the Aspyr forums that someone had reported success in playing Borderlands 2 in macOS, after having updated to Catalina.

Anyone here been able to do likewise?

32 bit apps are not supported on Catalina.

If you are that concerned about losing support, keep a second bootable partition or drive of an older OS. I have a bunch of old OS partitions.

I have a question though, why do you really want to upgrade to Catalina? Is there something you need from the new OS?

Borderlands 2 is 64-bit on Macs, so that's not that weird :)

So, do you have both (Catalina and BL2), that you would be willing to try it out for me? I am hoping to learn that performance is improved under Catalina.

I'm running Big Sur and having some serious graphical corruption issues with it so I'm afraid I can't test that for you at the moment - maybe when I have time to update to beta 8, if the graphical issues are fixed
