Hi All,

I recently got a new 17" UMBP with the express card slot. I thought, great, all I have to do is get a express card adapter & that will take care of things but it seems from what I have been able to gather is that most of these adapters either are not compatible or really do not work very well at all. I have read reviews on Amazon & the like. Also, it seems there are only a handful of these adapters to choose from.

Has anyone with a 17" MBP been able to find a decent & reasonable priced Express Card USB 3.0 Adapter that works fully without issues? If not what other alternatives/options are available?

I know Seagate have their Go-Flex systems but user reviews seem quite critical & they are also quite expensive compared to the competition. I have read concerns about Seagate QC & that the Go-Flex system is to be discontinued so am a little cautious.

Is there such a thing as a Thunderbolt to USB 3.0 Adapter? I am primarily looking at this stage at using portable external hard drives.

Many Thanks!

Bazzy!
