I really wanted to! I waited over a week to get the thing in my hands, finally got it, turned everything on, installed everything - including Windows and all my software, and then wake up this morning and it won't turn on.

Apple declares it DOA and now I have to wait another 10 days...

Oh yeah - and all before I could get a time machine backup! I'm trying to have a positive attitude, but it seems I'm not alone here.

As with all electronics some are bound to fail. Don't let this sway you from your opinion of your new MBP.

Honestly, apple NEEDS better QUALITY CONTROL for all notebooks . The rate of fail to work properly is too high*

Well, unlike all the other flaws and issues these things are experiencing, you're experience is thankfully not a regularity and I'm sure your next mbp will not be DOA and will work fine. Things like that are bound to happen. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Sorry to hear that! Hope the new one is perfect for you. Nothing more frustrating than not being able to play with your new toy!
