I received the MacBook Pro M1 with a weird keyboard ?

I had ordered the MacBook Pro M1 Pro 14 inch from amazon 2 days back, and received it today.
It looks great and works so nice and smooth.
The product listing page on amazon shows the correct keyboard layout, https://amzn.to/3KviWSf

But what I have received is this,

I never knew apple made a different type of keyboard too.
If you see it closely, the shift buttons and enter return buttons are squeezed small, which makes it impossible to work type.

Shall I just go ahead and return it back to Amazon ?

You have got an ISO keyboard rather than the ANSI keyboard in the Amazon listing, on the ISO keyboard the left SHIFT key is smaller and the RETURN key is enlarged onto two rows (amongst other things). Personally I much prefer the ISO keyboards because of this enlarged RETURN key but everyone's muscle memory is different!

I would always take keyboard layout pictures from Amazon with a pinch of salt, it is probably just a stock photo. You can return it but you might not get the layout you want if you order it again. It might be best to order directly from Apple where you can specify the keyboard layout you want.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201794 has more information on keyboard layouts; they make a large number for different layouts and languages used all over the world.

That's probably the standard English keyboard layout for UAE, so if you don't want it, you'll have to return and order from somewhere else (Apple might be a good source as suggested by Bob).

I’d return it asap while you still can. I had to use a work laptop that had a keyboard like this and absolutely hated it For the exact reasons you stated
