Ok, I have spent a half hour looking for two files I downloaded onto my external hard drive. They are in the sections /volumes/seagate/Folder name...
How can I get to these files? When I click on my seagate hard drive on my finder the files aren't there, there are in a volumes section...
Please help.

You could try finding the files using spotlight, and then in the spotlight search click show all. Select the files and drag them to your desktop or where ever you would like them to be. Hope you have some luck!

spotlight won't pick it up, but I know it's there because when I Use bittorrent I can see it under the /volumes/seagate

Open terminal and type this:

cd /Volumes/Seagate/Folder_Name

and then type this:

ls -a

What do you get? Do you see your files listed?
