could be CDMA iphone4 = jan '11

GSM iphone5 = June '11
CDMA iphone5 = July '11

LTE iPhone6 = June'12 for both ATT and VZ as well as european markets

this is an easy game to play, but who really cares anymore... just go buy an iphone and enjoy it.

2) The iPhone v5 will be GSM with a CDMA variant to follow likely 3-6 months later. This seems the most likely to me as it would give the Verizon iPhone4 a decent sales lifetime of ~9months. Plus it would also set the stage for an iPhone v6 in the usual July timeframe likely introducing a dual mode chip. Actually, I think they would then likely just release an LTE variant at that point as the carries are supposedly migrating to it within that timeframe.

Apple would never release an iPhone on one carrier and then hold out on another carrier for 6 mo by trying to push an old model. It would cause massive confusion and would look very bad to customers. If anything, I think what we will see is the iPhone 4 CDMA released in January and then in June or July when the iPhone 5 is released, the iPhone 4 CDMA will still be sold as a cheaper option kind of like how the 3GS is still being currently sold to ATT customers as a cheaper option. This should alleviate the issue of the "short life span".
