I ordered some stuff from amazon and collected them from the amazon locker. Anyway I never knew where to key in my pickup code so I pressed some metal buttons but these wasn’t the correct buttons.

I realised I needed to enter my code into the touchscreen. Because I pressed the metal buttons it seemed to have set an alarm off, I panicked so I took my parcels and drove off. Should the alarm just turn off on its own, will I get into trouble with amazon? I’m so worried!

So you have an alarm ringing, people possibly observing someone running with a package in their arms and taking off - I hate to break it to you but on the outside looking in, it appears you stole something and the police may very well be involved

I never ran I walked, I walked back to my car and drove off. I actually just went back to the locker and the alarm is no longer going off, should I still be worried?

I don't know, why not ask the police or if the locker is in a store ask the clerk

No. First, you did nothing illegal. It's not clear the alarm results in a call to police. More likely, police only become involved if Amazon determines a crime was committed (missing packages/locker damaged). My guess is nobody complained, nothing was missing or damaged and a the alarm was reset along with a dozen other false alarms that day. Business as usual.

Some tech might have reviewed security video and laughed at your discomfort, but probably not even that happened.

Thank you I feel better now. Appreciate your reply

In all the crime series on TV, the criminal always seems to return to the site of the crime :).

I wonder if the Amazon lockers have video surveillance ?

Well if they do have video surveillance they will see I done nothing wrong, I collected my parcels then left, the locker is in a shop and no one seemed concerned and the lockers alarm went off when I returned.

Do you think the police would have been called?

Anyone think the police would have been called to the locker when the alarm went off?
