Apple Music I still sync manually and the latest Apple Music ignores my edits.

I still buy singles from iTunes when I really like the artist. Later, when the album is released, I'm able to download the album using the "complete my album" feature @ a reduced price. However since iOS 15 / the new macOS, despite combining the separate singles and album downloads into one album with the respective track numbers on the Music app, these changes aren't reflected on my iPhone. I still go into the app, and despite using the sort artist / sort album artist trick to combine, it doesn't work. They have the same issue - everything is still separate which never happened before. The desktop app shows them as one 15-track album, but the iPhone app instead lists the three singles I bought as separate releases under the new same album name I've used to unify them. It's effing annoying and not like what used to happen. I'm at a loss.
