Hi everyone,

So I just exported a video and left my MacBook Pro alone for a while. When I came back, I saw a notification in the top right corner which said that I have to enter my MacBook's password to get access to iCloud again (unfortunately, I didn't take a screenshot). I clicked on it and it redirected me to the Settings app where I got a similar message at the top left. I clicked on it and I had to re-enter my MacBook's password then. After I did it, I got access to iCloud again.

My question now would just be what caused this weird behavior because the message came out of the blue and I never experienced this before.

Thanks and best wishes

If you recently upgraded the OS, it is normal to get that kind of message.
Interesting, thanks for your response. I updated to macOS 13.1 on December 13 and I got the message on December 18. Maybe it was due to the update then (although I never got this message before).

I got it on my iPhone 14pro today...updated last update a few days ago. Same 'issue' in your opinion? Also, first time I've noticed this after an update. Ever if I might say. And didn't ask me to do the same on my iPad or MBPro. ?

Same issue. I usually get it a few days after a major update and like you, it doesn't happen on every device logged into the same account.
