get some sleep.
*took the SATs in January, taking SAT Subject Test: US History tommorow*

only guess if you can eliminate one or two. i took the old sat's last year (8th grade) and got an 1110. i was nervous, but i knew i would do decent. you'll feel awesome when its over, and hopefully even more awesome when you see your score. good luck!

My advice is just forget about it. Watch some TV, play some video games, or whatever relaxes you. Make sure you go to bed at a decent time and get your required number of hours of sleep. Also, remember that the SATs don't prove much. All they determine is how well you will do on the SATs.

Thanks for all your help people! I wish I could just forget about them.

1) 7-8 hrs of sleep
2) take a shower and dump
3) eat an orange or drink orange juice
4) dun get distracted by the chick next to u, unless she flashes u

Rest.
Quiet mind.
When the test is administered, lose yourself in it.
It really feels kind of amazing.
Am I think only one who feels that way? It's just being stuck in a bubble of thinking and reasoning and just losing yourself in pure thinking, and it's amazing when for a second you realize where you are. I really get into these standarized tests.
Anyway, I took it this January, and those are things that I found. And I liked my scores too, so maybe the tips will help! :p ;)
Anyways, good luck!
Good breakfast!
Quiet mind.
And yeah, yeah, this post is kinda late...

Before the test, read the newspaper and do a Sudoku puzzle to warm up your brain.

During the test, take your time. So easy to make dumb mistakes (especially on math), and the curve will destroy your scores. Go for length on the essay, trust me on this.

After the test, play some sort of sport since you're going to have a sore ass.

The key to it is knowing stuff.

We don't have SATs here so I don't really have any useful, specific advice.

In general, get a good night's sleep, have some fruit and drink plenty of water. Though not so much that you have to run out of the exam to go to the toilet.

If you have time, sit and think about something completely unrelated for 5-10 minutes (in yesterday's Maths 3H I recited Japanese vocab in my head), then do it again. It's a lot easier to see where you've gone wrong if you're not in the same mind as when you were doing it (hence why when doing past papers, you'll look through and think "stupid me" the moment you see some of the answers)

You should be finishing up right now, if you are on the East Coast. I think they go from 8-11. But, that was a long time ago. Long enough ago that I feel incredibly old...anyhow. How'd it go? I hope you enjoyed it!

Yeah, how did you feel about it?
Getting the scores is the big thing though. It's so hard to know how you did right after the test.
Btw, he may not be getting out right now. At least, where I was taking it, it took forever and we didn't get out until 1PMish when we were supposed to start @ 9... the place was packed, we didn't get started until 10:15ish with the test.

do what i did.

Go out drinking and play video games till 4AM the day of.

You wont be worried at all about the test by the time you take it. :D

If these are SATS as in England, you don't need to do anything!! They are so simple, even i got the top grades in everything!!

Shakespeare could have done no better.

Did anyone get their scores yet from the may SAT yet? I just got mine - 1630 total. Those bastards gave me a 4 out of 12 on my essay. It was pretty short, but it answered the question fully and it was written well.

Don't come if you're hungover.

Hehe - someone puked at my last SAT test, and we had to wait an extra 90 minutes before beginning testing again while they cleaned it up.

She was sooo hungover...:D
