I think 10.8 is hiding my boot drive

I have my home folder/user settings folder on a storage drive and I boot from an SSD. As far as I can tell, 10.8 isnt letting me access my boot drive. It doesnt show up under "devices" where my many other hard drives and partitions show up.

This is a new one. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do and google has failed me.
