I deleted some daemons a bit ago to supposedly speed up my device.

Since then, I've realized that my iPhone won't connect to iTunes or DiskAid.

Is there a way to restore them so I can upgrade my phone for the new JB?

Edit: Nevermind. I can deal with not being able to use itunes for a couple days. Recovery mode works, so I'll just restore when the JB comes out.

Did you not back them up? I remember that thread (posted not too long ago) and while others have stated that it was "safe".....but I wasn't buying it. Reading your post makes me glad that I didn't start deleting them after all.

Too risky IMO for little or any noticeable improvements.

Manually deleting Daemons is a bad idea - I learnt that the hard way on my 3G.

I recommend adding the insanelyi repo and using their "DaemonTool". Only disables (i.e. doesn't delete) certain Daemons, and you can reverse the process if you wish. It works absolutely fine on my 4G and on my friends 3G.

I manually deleted some of mine but i knew what they did, its not dangerous unless the person doing it isn't up to speed on what they are doing ;)

Same here, 0 problems... Before you remove anything you need to read read and the read a little bit more. Gl!
