I think its time to bring back the iPhone 4 design... yeah its time

All these bending reports. Anyone else think its time we went back to the iPhone 4/4S design, as that had no problems bending. Yeah I think we need to let Apple know we want that design in future iPhones.
 
What the problems with the back shattering when you dropped the phone.

The problem with the 4 and the 4S was that it had TWO panes of glass that could shatter, and I would argue that for some people, the shattered glass would make the 4 form factor unworthy to return to.

I do agree that Apple needs to beef up the structural integrity, though.
 
How about a 4s design with sapphire glass , in 4" and 4.7" sizes, 2GB ram, 32GB starting storage and stereo speakers!

I'll never forget Steve Jobs describing the 4 as something to the effect of 'holding an old Leica camera' - I like that feeling. ( I started with the 5 myself but love playing with a 4s, it just feels so damn substantial).

Uhm no.

If Apple is to bring any design back it should be the iPhone 5.

No way!

I'm happy with my 6 plus. Worse "case" I could put a seidio surface on it to make more sturdy. It would still be more thin than a 4. I won't do that though
 
But wonder how heavy and large a 6+ would feel if it was the same design and thickness of the 4?

Nope I hated that design. Cold square and uncomfortable
 
I am still using my 4s, been using it for 3 years now and it still feels and looks just like the day I bought it, plus it feels much better in my hands than the 5/6. I am holding on to the 4s until apple makes solid phone designs again.

And my iPhone 5 is just like yours. Feels just fine in my hands and I love the fact that it's got the chamfered edges. The 2001 monolith effect is what majorly attracted me. The 5s doesn't have that with all that spaced out grey it's got. :D

To each their own. I hate the 4/4s design, but it's good that we all have choice.
 
Sometimes I am thankful that Apple not always listens to what the consumers are saying. The guys at Blackberry did and look how that worked for them... Why would you want Apple to move backwards when they are moving forward? The iPhone 4s was cold, uncomfortable and the "sharp" edges were just really really uncomfortable. If you do not like the 6 or 6+ do not get them.
 
I liked 4 better than 5. I liked the aesthetic of the black glass, even though it was fragile. I hated holding the 5 bare, and love the rounded corners of the 6.
 
It is time for me to quit this forum.

I got my phone, iP6+. Love it. Perfect for me. Happy life. Time to move on. Goodbye, non-sense stupid craps, MR.

Bring on the next iPhone/iPad/MacAir/new :apple: watch. Oh wait, no more checking the non-sense here. I'll follow my guts & instincts as usual. :D
 
I liked the design of the 4 just fine but as posted it was really prone to breaking the front and rear glass - and I remember at the time it was released how everyone felt it was hard to hold compared to the 3G. We've now come full circle with an aluminum phone that is quite like an improved first gen design that was well loved (or at least fondly remembered) and for the most part incredibly durable. I like the looks of the black 5 the best as I love anodized black aluminum and hard edges, but that chamfer was really delicate and the phone looked bad in no time without a case.

Speaking of cases virtually every iPhone i ever see out and about is in a case so who really cares about the design when you put a cheap plastic case over it??
