people let's go to make a petitiononline to make that iTunes have a dvd player to complete it's Hardcore Media Player killer Special Feature:D and discard dvd player app and then we have 2 apple App in 1

thats only what i think pls reply this Thread:apple:

I wouldn't want that. We already have the DVD player app, as well as Front Row, so how would DVD playback within iTunes be of any benefit to anyone?

However, it would be awesome if you could just pop in a DVD and rip it straight into iTunes like a normal music CD, but that will never ever happen.

Do you mean the same idea of the DivX integration? As far I know Apple TV is essentially the iTunes integrate "DVD" player, minus the DVD part.

If anything itunes is missing support of flac and ogg as a few gigs of flac and ogg. And I rather not convert them. If my Mini supports it why can't itunes?

I really don't see any advantage to have these two apps in one. It would probably just end up using more ram.

Why do people think it would be "awesome"?

I don't know, I've become to like having iTunes for music, Quicktime/VLC for videos, and DVD Player/Front Row for dvds.

I see no reason to change it.

iTunes needs an overhaul as it is, we shouldn't go adding more junk to it if its not needed right now. the only way this would be of any use is if it could rip dvds too.
