Ever since I got my iPhone 7 Plus I've been annoyed by jerky scrolling in some apps, like Tweetbot and Reddit. Scrolling was smooth on my previous iPhone 6, so you can imagine my disappointment when the supposedly faster iPhone 7 Plus wasn't as smooth.

I noticed today something curious; when the phone was busy updating a bunch of apps, scrolling in Tweetbot and Reddit was absolutely silky smooth. When the update finished, it was back to occasional jerky scrolling.

My suspicion is that the jerky scrolling has to do with some new power saving mode the iPhone 7 has. When the phone is busy updating apps, the power saving doesn't kick in, so the scrolling is smooth.

At least, that's my theory. Any thoughts? This issue has been a bit maddening and I hope it gets fixed sometime soon.
