The MR clock should have said 1 day 21 hours and 34 min. This is correct, because the KeyNote is at 1 p.m. E.D.T., 10 A.M. P.D.T.

My guess is that you either typed it wrong or your DST settings are off in your account. Go to 'Quick Links' --> 'Edit Options' and ensure that 'Automatically detect DST settings' is chosen.

As far as your clock, it is 3 hours behind, which means you have chosen 10 A.M. E.D.T. as the start, when it is 10 A.M. P.D.T.

I wonder if one is failing to calculate the difference in time zones?

Time zones don't matter for this, because the keynote is at a specific time in a specific time zone. It occurs in exactly the same amount of time for everyone in the world. 10AM Pacific time.

The countdown clock should show the exact same thing for everyone in the world.

At the time of posting this, there is 1 day, 21 hours, 2 minutes until the WWDC Keynote for anyone in the world.

fratboy, your Dashboard widget is broken. Get one that doesn't account for time zones. Because timezones don't matter for countdowns like this.

Right. Although it does matter in the sense that the user needs to make sure that he/she has the correct time based on local time zone to coincide with 10 A.M. P.D.T. It looks like fratboy clock set 10 A.M. E.D.T. as the date to count down to. I think that might be what southerndoc meant.

Correct. He needs to set his countdown widget to 1PM EDT.

The MacRumors clock is correct.

Could someone tell me where this clock is:confused: pleasel
