I am a very sedentary and my watch is showing 30,000 steps a week. Sometimes 40K. No way. I basically walk from my office to the kitchen to eat its like 20 feet. I walk around the house. How can I reset the counter?

30,000 steps/week is roughly 4,200 steps per day. You aren't walking that many steps per day? That seems like an incredibly low number. Can you post a screenshot of what it says for the number of steps you have taken each day?

Yeah which I think is interesting. I usually get 10-15,000 steps when I work and go to the gym after, but every now and then I’ll have a totally lazy day at home and get 2-3,000 easily. So I don’t think 4500 is unreasonable especially if someone left the house

Download Pedometer++ for free, and compare the two after you've been walking for a while. I'm old, and I average around 8000 steps/day. When I compare the two, they're always within 20-30 steps of each other.

On a day I’d consider myself reasonably active, walking is pretty much limited to getting to the gym and back, plus anything else. I am always upwards of 10,000 steps and up. On my off days I still see at least 4000 or so. Last week I didn’t even leave the house for about 4 days and saw about 4000 each day. I’d say your numbers aren’t all that far off like was suggested in a prior post. S
