I notice lately that every time i use my macbook pro with battery i'll get like only 30 min and then it shut off... so i did the calibration and still same thing.

So i checked with coconut and sys profile.. check the pictures..

Is that mean my battery is dying and need a new one? i have apple care so are they gonna cover it?

btw i have MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008)

Thanks

actually i would go to an apple store. when I went in to get my iphone checked the guy next to me had a problem with charging and the genius just replaced the battery for free. I would go into the store and just pretend youre new to this.

Your battery menu in the menubar will give you a "Service battery now" message when it's time to replace the battery.

Hi, I just went through this same thing this week. I have the apple care warranty so I called them up. The whole process took ~40 minutes and they Fedex'ed me a new battery and I have to send my old one back.

Since you're under 300 cycles and if you have AppleCare, it will most likely be replaced. I'd just take it in instead of asking us. ;)
