Hey all,

I made a mix CD in Audio format (not mp3) and when i play it in my car some of the tracks are all scrachy and don't sound good. The acutal audio file plays perfect on my computer. I use good blank CD's. So it makes me think that my superdrive could be messed up. Any ideas???

Just re-burn the CD, and do it at a lower speed (i.e. 1x if you want to make sure). This happens occasionally though, so don't sweat it too much.

if it's set at maxium should i knock it down a level or two??

If you want less of a chance of error, than yes. I keep mine at maximum and have errors rarely, but it does happen. I DJ with the CD's that I make, so I always make doubles anyway... But honestly, I've only burned a couple bad CD's. If it starts to happen with some frequency, then try backing down the speed. If there is still a problem, then maybe its time to talk to Apple.
