I don't think Apple will stick with the 7S nomenclature for next year's 10 anniversary iPhone. I think they will change their naming scheme to iPhone Series X. And since it will be the 10 generation iPhone, I think it will be called iPhone Series 10.
 
I don't know where Apple is going with their naming conventions - what's with the new name for the watches - Series 1, Series 2 - what does that mean going forward?
