As the title says - I have just downloaded 1.1.2 and yes it lets you add calendar entries but I thought people here had been saying it allowed them to check their mac mail accounts. I still can't use mail properly with this update so anyone know what gives?

Thanks

J

If someone did, they're an idiot. 1.1.2 on an ipod touch allows you to create calender entries on the device and sync them back to PC or Mac.

1.1.1 u can do it i see no reason for 1.1.2 all it does is cause problems especially if u try to upgrade and u have a jailbroken 1.1.1

I have it jailbroken and it works just fine. I send and receive mail. I can take notes. I can use Maps to plan a trip and get directions. Not one problem and it took all of 15 minutes to jailbreak.

I can get google mail to work but I STILL cant get yahoo mail to work

it tells me my login details are incorrect for imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com ......... is there something in yahoo mail website I need to do?

IIRC, Yahoo don't offer free IMAP yet on all accounts. Also, there may be something on imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com that only allows connection from an iPhone, not an iPod touch

ah well I can live in hope lol I would of thought since it was an iPhone app it would transmit that its an iPhone? maybe its the whole no free imap on accounts

EDIT: hmm just found this in yahoo answers

if you e-mail yahoo about this you'll get a canned-answer that they are "looking into it" and "you should really just use pop". Sad thing is - if you have an iPhone you already get imap. If you aren't using the AT&T Edge network it will not allow you to connect to the imap.apple.yahoo.com servers
