I thought the backups were fixed?

The last 3 times I have synced my iphone i have had to do a super long backup. I havnt seen this since before 2.1.

Is there anything I can do?

same here, for the past few days too! I wonder if it's a widespread thing...maybe the callin to apple's servers for diagnostics is slowing down?

I had the same issue. I jailbroke my phone then restored it after that and now my backup is nice and speedy again.

I've been having the same issue with my iPod touch, my backup times shortened drastically with the release of 2.1, but over the past few weeks, they have been taking very long.

When I upgraded, I was amazed how much quicker the backup was. I still find it quicker

same here. when i first threw on 2.1, backups were quick. now its been weeks later and backups are back to a pathetic crawl.

Still all fine here, how long apart do you leave it before backing up?

My last 2/3 back ups have been very slow. I never had the issue before 2.1 and its only happened to me recently. Strange, and annoying when you are in a hurry!
